When Contradiction Meets Harmony: Stunning Car Doors
This video features two cars, the BMV Z1 and the Yomobile Car Concept. These cars have an unusual, extremely inventive sliding door design.
I belive these car doors are the best example of resolving the previously stated contradiction: a car door during opening and closing, should occupy a significant amount of space to provide ease of entry and exit for the driver and passengers, AND should occupy a small amount of space to fit into the dense city parking area and considerations safety. A stunning doors does both functions perfectly, providing ease of entry and exit taking up zero outside space when opened and closed.
It's likely we'll see more cars with these doors on the road someday once some of the other contradictory features, including consumer demand, safety, practicality and cost-effectiveness have been resolved.
