During the Q Lab scene, James Bond can be seen using an IBM ThinkPad laptop ignoring Q's instructions on the use of a leather belt modified with a piton gun.Director Martin Campbell had 007 fiddling with the laptop as a way to advertise IBM's product.
A modified Omega wristwatch features as a spy gadget device several times in the film, concealing a cutting laser and detonator remote.
GoldenEye was a big succes. The film had a budget of $60 million and made $356.4 million worldwide. Adjusted for inflation, it made the most money of any Bond movie.
